So it's been forever since I have blogged. I figured that since Dave and I are going to have a baby soon I should probably get another one started. I deleted my old blog a long time ago mostly because I never felt like I had anything exciting to post. I'm sure I will have millions of pictures to share once the baby is here.
I guess I don't have to say "the baby" anymore. We are having a boy. His name is going to be Parker Dawson Neff. Dave didn't want his name as the middle name so we went with Dawson which means "Son of David". I get more and more excited each day for him to be here. I still have so much to do though, it's really overwhelming. Below are a few ultrasounds. We have a video ultrasound too, but we haven't been able to figure out how to save it on the computer.
The first ultrasound is when we went to find out what we were having. The tech wrote "oh boy" on the screen and it took me a minute to figure out what she meant, I was really shocked. Dave was certain we were having a girl, and I didn't have any strong feelings one way or the other. I figured maybe Dave was right so when boy popped up on the ultrasound I didn't know what to think. I looked at Dave to see what his reaction was, I think he was shocked too. I think it took a day or two for it to sink in with me. For Dave, it may have taken a little bit longer.
We have the nursery nearly complete now. Dave is working on the decor, since I am no use in that department. We decided to go with a skateboard theme. Dave is building a mini half-pipe (3' x 5') to hang on the wall. It is a huge project since he is building it from scratch and making it up as he goes. When it's done I will post pictures.
